UW-Madison, Sterling Hall
160,000 sq-ft remodel of Sterling Hall. This project updated classroom technologies and updated mechanical/electrical systems. A new electrical service was provided with an indoor unit substation and a 4160 volt feed from the campus electrical grid. The indoor substation is capable of being fed at 15KV for connection to the new 15KV campus grid. Energy efficiency of the building was enhanced with new light fixtures and lighting controls.
The fire alarm system and standby generator were brought up to current high rise code with the inclusion of a fire command center and power for the fire pump and elevators.
