“ Engineering is about making things work. That's exactly what we do

At Aspen Engineering we believe things should work. No excuses. Because when you’re working with electrical systems there simply isn’t any room for errors and zero forgiveness.

Our broad experience has helped the construction industry design robust electrical power systems to keep organizations alive during adverse conditions, squeeze costs out of electrical systems to maximize profitability and reduce maintenance costs of outdated systems which can eat businesses alive.

Electrical engineering for commercial systems is a complex business with a maze of codes, standards and material selections which can flummox both clients and less seasoned firms. To ensure your project goes smoothly and your design teams don't wander astray, we've done what engineering does best: created a system which consists of three key stages, with each stage employing our own proprietary processes.

We refer to the first stage as The Basis of Design. The Basis of Design is consultative and collaborative, where we work closely with your stakeholders, other engineers and architects to organize and have a deep understanding of your goals.

We then move to our Internal Project Plan. The IPP is a living document for the life of the project. We break down a project to small components and milestones. We’ve found it’s the best way to manage evolving plans. If you change suppliers of a critical piece of equipment or institute an architectural design change we’re able to quickly adapt and track the tasks needed to revise the electrical engineering plans.

At the end of the project we do a Final Review. During this phase the Basis of Design provides the perfect template to review the project. Have the goals been met? Is everything in order? Are all stakeholders satisfied?

We believe this attention to detail and our ability to work seamlessly with the rest of your design team is the best way to simply “make it work” which is what successful engineering is all about.
